INCLUSION

We believe that the choir as a whole benefits from having a diverse membership. We welcome everyone, and particularly welcome members from under-represented groups. If there are barriers to your membership, of any nature, please discuss them with us so that we can remove those barriers if possible.

Different people have different needs, and as such, we believe in treating people according to their needs, rather than treating everyone identically. We encourage people to let us know what their needs are, so we can respond appropriately - we are open to honest conversations about how we can best serve the needs of each choir member individually.

We will not unjustly discriminate against anyone. This includes, but is not limited to, discrimination because of age, disability, gender or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. Unacceptable behaviour, harassment, discrimination, bullying (including cyber bullying) or victimisation of any individual is against our core beliefs. Any allegations of such behaviour will be investigated and dealt with appropriately.

Being a member of the choir requires a certain minimum level of physical ability (being able to vocalise), and mental ability (being able to learn the music at a reasonably fast pace). If you have any questions about how this would affect your ability to participate, please contact us.
